Farewell - The Final Tour
Dublin and Belfast Concert Dates Confirmed
Simply Red have confirmed concert dates at The O2, Dublin on 07 November and The Odyssey Arena, Belfast on 08 November, 2010 as part of their final Farewell Tour. Tickets for Dublin and Belfast will go on sale next Friday 19 March at 9.00am.
Simply Red will play their final Farewell shows this year after a quarter of a century of touring, allowing Mick to pursue a solo career and begin a brand new chapter. They will say their farewells in South America in April, then Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the UK and Ireland from September to December.
Simply Red's classic pop and elegant ballads have provided an uplifting and emotional soundtrack to our turbulent times. Their phenomenal career has spanned three decades; they’ve released 10 studio albums racking up over fifty million global sales, notched up over 30 top 40 UK singles, won countless awards including 3 Brits, 2 Ivor Novellos and a Mobo Special Achievement. They gained the rarest prize for a British artist with not just one, but TWO number one hits in the USA; the album ‘Stars’ was the biggest selling album in the UK for two consecutive years and they have played more than 1000 live shows to over 10 million people.
